Does the job! I used these boots in combination with my Farmer John Grizzly wetsuit to fish MTK. My foot is a size 12 and I ordered the size 12 and it is indeed VERY SNUG! I suggest ordering at least 1 size up and if you are going to put on any type of neoprene sock, perhaps go even two sizes up. Since the material is thin, the laces will "choke" your lower calf. Support is good. Not really made for trekking over too many rocks but then again, this boot was not made so much for surf fishing in MTK. Would I buy another pair? Probably, but will want a larger size.

great BOOT! I originally purchased the Tread 3 river shoes but they didn't have enough traction for my liking, and I needed more ankle support. I returned the booties and got the Workboot Wetshoes and they are nothing short of fantastic! They do run a little narrow as another customer stated, it would be nice if they expanded their width choices since not all feet are the same width! I wore these for the first time today on a 20 mile whitewater raft run, with the river up higher than normal and lots of technical class III's and tons of class IV rapids. These boots not only stayed put under the thwart, they provided most excellent traction in the river when putting in/taking out and the performance and comfort level was outstanding. My feet do not hurt and they were absolutely wonderful, I highly recomment these over any other river shoe.
